Fire Suppression Systems

Fire code requirements for commercial kitchen fire suppression systems have changed, and staying compliant is critical. Since January 1, 2014, NFPA 96 has required all commercial kitchen systems to meet the UL 300 standard, which was developed to address today’s higher-risk cooking environments.

UL 300 standards were introduced after extensive testing showed that fires involving vegetable oils and modern cooking equipment require significantly more suppression agent and higher discharge rates than older systems were designed to deliver.

At Fyr-Fyter Sales & Service, we’re certified to inspect, service, and maintain all wet and dry chemical suppression systems. We also provide the required six-month service for kitchen hoods, paint booths, and industrial spray booth suppression systems.
